Why we exist
Crafting ultralight gear with an ultralight footprint, Trekker Joe's is not just about exploring the outdoors but connecting hearts to it. Commitment to the Earth's preservation is at the core of our promise. 🏕
Trekker Joe's is a small family-run cottage gear company out of Spicewood, Texas. Every bottle sleeve, pouch, and piece we make is sewn by hand — built for the trails we actually hike, tested in the Guadalupe Mountains and the rolling cedar hills of Central Texas.
We believe the land that makes this gear worth making deserves something back. That's why 1% of every purchase goes directly to the Great Springs Project — a 100-mile trail corridor connecting Barton Springs, San Marcos Springs, Comal Springs, and San Antonio Springs from Austin to San Antonio. The gear gives back. That's the commitment.
If you're here, you probably care about the same things we do. Welcome to the trail.
Gear that earns its place means gear that actually goes places. Here's proof.

Let customers speak for us
from 60 reviewsI Picked up a Long Handled Titanium spoon that was 9.65" long x 1.75" wide. I looked around and sent some emails out and didn't hear anything back. I reached out to TrekkerJoes and received a response the same day. They "handled" my request and shortly I had my Spoon Bag that fit's! I'm super happy and will be a purchasing more things soon!
Favorite way to carry water bottles. I'm a little older and can't reach the water bottle holders on the pack. These are great and perfect for the 1 liter 'Smartwater' size. I usually use medium
weight zip ties to secure bottle sleeve closer to the shoulder strap. I also weave a zip tie around the opening of the sleeve to help keep it's round shape to reinsert the bottle on trail. With a little personal adaption to each pack-They Are Awesome!
I love my ultragrid mesh bottles sleeve. In fact, I purchased one for myself, and then I bought 6 more for my wife and kids because they also loved these holders. Used them on the Appalachian trail. Quality craftsmanship. Love the easy access bungee to secure the top of bottle and prevent it from falling out.
I have used this fanny pack on & off the trail. If I am traveling, its with me. Pack is light and very well built with extra stitching at the stress points. My email question was answered and super friendly. I will buy more gear from Trekker Joe's as I need it. Thanks!
I’ve taken this on every thru hike I’ve done. I have short arms and can’t reach my water bottles when they’re the pockets on the side. This is a lifesaver. I don’t have to stop every 30 minutes to awkwardly get my water . It’s durable as I’ve taken it on the long trail as well as 800 miles of the AT this year. I love the colors as well fun and bright.
This thing rocks, we bought two and we love both. We had another brand and had a difficult time getting the bottle in & out. This sleeve is so easy to take your water bottle in & out with one hand from my Neighborhood Pack with daisy chain in the straps! We use the Smart Water bottles (1 liter) and this handles it perfectly. Don’t question if you should get it, just do it!
ENTIRELY RELIABLE, This company is a privilege to deal with, and I'm grateful they're in business! They go the extra mile (email) to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction...it's like having an older brother looking out for you. Completely recommended (and appreciated).
